Bikini fairing adds up its style but it is quite hard to rush at the speeds greater than 100 km/hr. The monster engine of this bike can generate a whooping 25bhp of maximum power and 19.2Nm of peak torque amount.The KTM Duke 200 is powered by a 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid cooled engine that churns out 25bhp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 19.2Nm at 8000 rpm.The claimed top speed is 138kmph while the bike can do 0-100 kmph in 9.3 seconds.Though it has 200cc, it delivers power more than normal 200cc bikes.The tagline “READY TO RACE” shows that Duke is made of racing DNA. It accelerates to 60 km/hr in 3-4 seconds (my bike) and 100 km/hr within 10 seconds.Didn’t feel any power lags till it reached 130 km/hr.The Duke 200 is a 4-stroke engine but it roars like a 2-stroke motor. Even its engine sound makes it easily notarized. Thus Duke engines are power factories making sure that all the power lovers are satisfied.

Along with an impeccable braking mechanism KTM 200 Duke has got an applaud able set of suspension forks. For ensuring the rider and the pillion a jerk free ride experience over certified bad Indian tracks, the company has fitted wide telescopic upside down forks shock absorber at the front tyre. While on the other hand you will find a racing inspired mono-shock absorber under the seat for the rear tyre. This perfect combination of modern day suspension mechanism ensures of total safety to the passengers while touring or offraoding. Thus, the scope of jolts and jerks has been reduced to almost negligible levels due to the presence of these shock absorbers.
